Expanding its Relationship Base Leads to a Near Record-Breaking Six Months for TCTC

March 2011 – Pendleton, South Carolina

“I think the key has been continuing to expand our base of relationships throughout the community,” says Tri-County Technical College (TCTC)’s VP of Economic and Institutional Advancement, John Lummus, referring to TCTC’s recent fundraising success.

Between July 1st and December 31st, 2010, TCTC, as part of its Golden Opportunities to Shape the Future major gifts campaign, raised a total of $897,000. Sixty percent of the total raised came from businesses and industries, including a majority of the $355,000 raised from room-naming opportunities at TCTC’s new Easley campus.

The college has been honored to receive two $1 million gifts in its history. However, this near record-breaking effort is the highest amount raised during a six-month period aside from these past two accomplishments.

CG Senior Vice President, Ms. Christine Anderson, is currently assisting Tri-County Technical College with their “Golden Opportunities to Shape the Future” major gifts campaign. For more information regarding the Tri-County Technical College visit the college website at or contact John Lummus at
