The Clements Group Salutes the Following Clients and Their Achievements
By Johna Strader

The Clements Group is honored by our partnerships with all of our clients, and we are particularlyproud to showcase the successful achievements of the following colleges:

Jones County Junior College (Ellisville, MS)
JCJC kicked off their major gifts campaign through their employee division, and the employee campaign concluded April 30, 2008. By April 11, they had already raised over $100,000!! Additionally, they received 42 pledges during the kickoff alone. Congratulations, JCJC! The following pictures show the great time that was had by all:

Finger Lakes Community College (Canandaigua, NY)
Finger Lakes Community College student Mary Mansfield received prestigious national recognition by being selected as a member of the All-USA Community College Academic First Team, which recognizes outstanding two-year college students. First Team members received a $2,500 cash award from USA TODAY and trophies during a ceremony at the American Association of Community Colleges convention in Philadelphia. There were 20 students on the first team, chosen from over 1500 nominees from across the country, with an additional 40 runners-up on the second and third teams. Click here for the full USA Today story. Congratulations, Mary; you’ve made FLCC very proud!

Blue Ridge Community College (Weyers Cave, VA)
Blue Ridge Community College was selected to receive an Overall Performance Award through the 2008 CASE WealthEngine Awards for Educational Fundraising. There are 23 different categories that CASE provides awards in, though not all categories will have awards recipients. BRCC is one of only two community colleges nationwide to receive an award in the Public Two-Year Institution category (the other recipient was Indian River Community College in Florida). Receiving a fundraising award from CASE is quite an accomplishment, and our hats are off to all members of the BRCC family that made this recognition possible.

State Fair Community College (Sedalia, MO)
State Fair Community College began their major gifts campaign in late May 2005, with a goal of raising $4 million in cash and pledges over a five-year period. To date, they have received $8,256,000, as a result of formulating a great plan of campaign and executing it to perfection, with the support and guidance of SFCC President Dr. Marsha Drennon. We are proud of their remarkable achievement, and wish them continued success as they approach the final phase of their campaign efforts.

York County Community College (Wells, ME)
York County Community College launched their Partners Enriching Lives major gifts campaign with a goal of raising $2 million. The campaign started late in 2004, and to date, they have raised $2,038,640! Cheers to Dr. John Rainone (Executive Director of the YCCC Foundation) and the rest of the YCCC family for a job well done!

Rappahannock Community College (Warsaw, VA)
Rappahannock Community College began their major gifts campaign in April 2008. A scant 3 months into the campaign process, they received a $500,000 pledge from a foundation and an estate gift valued at $700,000! Way to go, Rappahannock! With initial success of this nature, your campaign is sure to soar to incredible heights!
