Building Your Foundation Board's Readiness for Campaign

 

  • Everyone in the fundraising arena would agree that the presence of a strong and engaged foundation board is key to campaign success. Join us and learn critical steps you can take to enhance the capabilities of your foundation board.

Tom Paulson, Executive Director, Lake Area Techinical Institute Foundation (SD)

 

Tom Paulson has over 12 years in fundraising experience in continuing education and is currently the Executive Director of the Foundation at Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown, SD, recently ranked as one of the top 5 colleges in America by the Aspen Institute.

 

He leads the foundation's strategic and vision planning, oversees annual fund drives and special events, as well as increases endowments, annual scholarship support and Legacy giving. He is currently guiding the institute through its first major gifts campaign, Excellence by Design.

 

Excellence by Design, a four-phase building and expansion project with an endowment initiative, began in September of 2008 under the counsel of the Clements Group. Despite challenging economic times, the campaign has raised $8.2 million toward its $10 million goal. The final building phase will break ground in the fall of 2012 and the institute is well positioned for the successful completion of the campaign.

 

Once your registration is complete, you will receive an invoice from the Clements Group within one week.
