A significant resource offered by the Clements Group is our business partnership development services. This component is implemented to work concurrently with the workforce development and grant/resource development offices.
Attend the WDA to learn how to implement a business and industry partnership development initiative to enhance your institution's relationship with local business and industry. The process includes the systematic implementation of a series of industry-focused business partnership development forums and reports to identify and quantify opportunities, including:
- Outlining the goals and objectives from the the institution's strategic plan that correspond to business partnership outreach
- Establishing a sustainable, systematic approach to gather counsel from the industries linked to both workforce and academic areas
- Assisting to identify alternative funding and financing strategies for the goals and objectives as outlined by the strategic plan, including partnerships in public and private grant programs
- Building internal advancement teams focused on enhancing the college's economic development and workforce development initiatives and community program outreach
- Hosting industry forum(s) to identify challenges/issues faced by partnering organizations
- Further positioning the institution as a driving force to impact local and regional economic development and promoting public awareness of the college as "innovator" and "business friendly"
- Creating reach in strategic local and regional industries to expand the college's impact on workforce development
- Enhancing awareness of additional services with top executive leaders in organizations that are currently partnered with the institution
- Cultivating relationships with 35-50 partnering prospects in each industry
- Advancing 10 to 15 qualified key leaders and companies per industry to build partnership agreements
- Developing business partnership advancement concepts for current and new programs to address specific industry issues based on the counsel and advice provided by recognized industry leaders during the forums
- Utilizing information to leverage the needs identified and documented by the business partnership forum process in resource development and grant proposal creation (project development and implementation)
